Did you know that you will receive a new Medicare Card in the near future? On April 1, new cards are being mailed with a new Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI). This will replace the Social Security number that has been on cards for many years. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services are doing this for better protection of private health care and financial information. They want to protect Social Security numbers for everyone on Medicare/Medicaid. Starting January of 2020, all claims must be submitted using the MBI.

In early February, the government permanently repealed the therapy caps which providers have been trying to change for 20 years. Our residents will be able to receive uninterrupted physical, occupational and speech therapy services needed to improve quality of life. At Friends Fellowship Community, Health Care Therapy Services provides our residents with the many therapies needed on a daily basis. If you would like more information or need to schedule an appointment, please do not hesitate to call 962-4663. Kyle and Patty would be more than happy to assist you.
