Pat Foreman was kind enough to once again bring us 24 eggs to lovingly take care of until the chicks are hatched! So far we have 16 to watch and take care of. This project of “Therapy Chicks, a nonprofit of The Gossamer Foundation” is dedicated to global sustainability and local foods.
We have Plymouth Barred Rocks, Buff Orpington, and Ameraucanas which offer such a variety of colors and sizes. They absolutely grow leaps and bounds overnight. Our residents get such enjoyment watching them scurry around in the Life Enhancement office. What fun for everyone for at least three weeks, before they grow too large to contain in one space.
