Friends Fellowship Community (FFC) recently hosted its first annual Photos with the Easter Bunny event.

FFC warmly welcomed members of the surrounding community to bring along their children, grandchildren, and even grandparents for a delightful photo session with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny made a special appearance in a lovely spring-themed setting in FFC's Community Room. Delicious Easter treats were prepared by the FFC dining services team, and a craft table was organized for children, featuring Easter-themed coloring pages and window decorations.

FFC resident volunteers Amy Reeves, Lois Jordan, and Chris Buchholz provided assistance to the children with their Easter crafts. Amy Reeves, FFC resident and volunteer, expressed her thoughts on the event, stating, “It is really fun meeting the children who come to FFC for events. They were so excited, and a few were skeptical to meet the very believable Easter Bunny. The children also made Easter egg suncatchers using various colors of tissue paper. It was fun to see their results.”

The Easter Bunny received many special greetings and items from the children in attendance, ranging from flowers and personalized cards to many hugs and waves, making the event truly special.

While the event was free for all attendees, participants were encouraged to donate canned goods to support local Richmond food pantries. Many families contributed canned goods, and several children brought their own donations at check-in. In total, 76 canned goods were generously donated. According to the FFC sales team, “We were very pleased with over 30 families in attendance.”
