Friends Fellowship Community Hosts Photos with Santa and benefits Richmond Community Food Pantry.

The Friends Fellowship Community (FFC) Sales Team, Dana Shore, Sales Director, Barb Bell, Sales Counselor, and Megan Broeker, Sales Associate and Grant Coordinator, recently hosted a "Photos with Santa" event. The event was open to members of the surrounding community to bring their children, grandchildren, grandparents, and anyone else interested in taking a photo with Santa. Santa was available for photos in a beautifully decorated holiday setting in the community room at FFC. Delicious Christmas treats were prepared by the FFC dining services team, and a craft table for kids was set up with holiday coloring pages, as well as kits to decorate Christmas trees and gingerbread houses. FFC resident volunteer, Amy Reeves, Lois Jordan, and Chris Buchholz, assisted the children with their craft projects.

Although the event was free for all attendees, a donation of a canned good was suggested to benefit the Community Food Pantry in Richmond, Indiana. Many families brought canned goods, and several children contributed by bringing their own cans during check-in. All collected canned goods, and monetary donations were then donated to the Richmond Community Food Pantry. According to Dana Shore, Sales Director, this first annual "Photos with Santa" event exceeded the expectations of the FFC Sales Team.

The benefits of friends and family coming together, new friendships forming, and intergenerational connections and giving back to the community were immeasurable. “We could not have asked for a better evening,” said Dana Shore. Friends Fellowship is already planning to host another “Photos with Santa” event in 2025.
