May and June are months that birds start migrating from Mexico to Canada. Each week a different group will pass through inching their way towards a resting stop, perhaps Magee Marsh in Ohio, before they take flight across the water for Canada. Eugenia Mills is always on the lookout, actually many land right outside her kitchen window, for new and beautiful birds stopping by FFC.
May is also the month that our resident ducks give birth trying to increase our population! You never know how many you will see toddling behind their mother around our pond.
Because our campus is blessed with wonderful vegetation, mature trees, and a pond, none of us really know what we might see on a given day. Nature is amazing and so is FFC!
